A melonpan also known as a melon bun or melon bread, is a type of Japanese sweet bun that is well known in Japan and around the world. It is made from an enriched dough covered in a thin layer of cookie dough. The appearance is meant to resemble a melon with the common type have a criss,cross pattern in the cookie dough. There are many different flavours such as Matcha shown here.

Anpan is a Japanese sweet roll most commonly filled with red bean paste (Adzuki or Anko). It can be filled with many other traditional fillings.
